I opened an image with a closed up view of my face on GIMP.

I used the color picker tool to find a light skin tone and used the spray brush tool to cover my bags.
I also found a pinker tone for my lips (they looked a little blue) and used the spray brush tool to color it in and make pinker lips.

I zoomed in and used the spray brush tool to color in my cheek fat.
I also highlighted my nose with the burning and dodging tool.

I used the blurring tool to make any bumpy parts of my face look smoother.

Untouched version.

Edited version.
You can see that my cheeks are much thinner, my lip color changed, my bags are covered, blurred my smile wrinkle, highlighted my nose and made my skin tone more even.
